Guest Speaker: Shelton Stone, BAarch

Topic: Managing Change Orders

BIO: Mr. Stone received a bachelor’s of Architecture degree from Mississippi State University in 1988.  After spending four years working in Atlanta, he returned to Mississippi in 1992 and started Stone Architecture, PA.  Stone Architecture, PA’s work consisted of public education, biomedical research laboratories, data centers, commercial  and collegiate sports facilities.  Stone Architecture was responsible for the design of the $26million South Endzone Expansion to Vaught Hemingway Stadium at The University of Mississippi.  In 2003 Mr. Stone moved to Walton County Florida to serve as Project Manager for development of Alys Beach, a Traditional Neighborhood Development located on the Gulf of Mexico.  Mr. Stone has given presentations to the Mississippi School Plant Managers Association, and was the 2009 keynote speaker for the National Concrete Masonry Association’s annual meeting in Chicago, Illinois.  Today, Mr. Stone manages an architectural practice in Santa Rosa Beach, Florida.
